Meet Our Pastor
Our Pastor retired from Exxon Refinery USA; and a graduate of Mckinley Senior High School and he also attend Southern University. He holds a doctorate of Theology from Christian Bible College of Baton Rouge and obtained a degree in Biblical Studies from Liberty University of Lynchburg, Virginia.
He is the founder and president of the Greater River City Bible Institute, also he is the Director of United Theological Seminary and Bible College #36000, where classes are conducted here at Greater Antioch Baptist Church.
Our Pastors Vision Statement is: Greater Antioch Baptist Church vision is to make disciples for Christ in our community and throughout the world through evangelism and outreach. We are compelled to bring up the standard of living through secular education, counseling and Christian education in our community. We will sow the seed of both Christian and secular education by means of Christian living. We believe that Christian education plus secular education equals success and that true success can only be found when one truly walks with God.
Dr. Kemp’s favorite hymns are Amazing Grace which will always be my song of praise, Blessed Assurance and How Great is our God. Since began here at Greater Antioch Baptist Church, he has baptized-150+, presented - 65+ babies to the Lord, officiated 250+ funerals and preached 3,000+ sermons.
Pastor Kemp, this is your 31st year and we pray you will have many more years here at Greater Antioch Baptist Church.
Under his leadership the church has purchased 4 lots and built a fellowship hall and remodeled the church.
